Report Builder templates

Reusable section layouts an organization can define once and reapply to every report of that type.

Step 1 · Learn

Understand the concept

A report template, in the general sense, is simply a saved decision about which sections a given type of report should contain and in what order — separating that presentational decision from the data itself, so the same underlying figures can be assembled consistently, period after period, without rebuilding the report's structure from scratch each time.

How METRA GET supports this

A report template in METRA GET is a saved list of sections (and their order) for a given report type — system-provided defaults exist out of the box, and an organization can also define and manage its own.

Applying a template never alters a report's underlying figures — it only sets which sections appear and in what order; the data inside each section is always computed fresh from the canonical source.

Step 2 · See an illustrative exampleAVAILABLE

Illustrative: a "Quarterly — M&E Results" template leads with Project Overview, then Workplan Progress, Results, Indicator Performance and Budget — reused every quarter without rebuilding the section list.

Step 3 · Use a real template/starter assetAVAILABLE

System templates ship with the product and an organization can create its own — sign in to see them.

Step 4 · Do it in METRA GET

Sign in to work with your organization’s real data, or request a demo to see it walked through.
